FISHERS, Ind. – Firefighters responded to a large house fire near Geist Reservoir in Fishers Sunday afternoon.

Around 40 firefighters were called to the home in the 11500 block of Fall Creek Road around 12:30 p.m.

The crews made an aggressive attack to keep the bulk of the fire contained in the home’s three-car garage, but parts of the house did sustain some water and smoke damage.

Officials say the fire was under control after about 55 minutes. The cause is under investigation, but is not considered suspicious at this time.

The damage is estimated to be worth about $160,000.

The Carmel Fire Department, Indianapolis Fire Department, Noblesville Fire Department, Fishers Police Department, Fishers Fire Corps., and the American Red Cross assisted with putting out the blaze.
