Today is the last oppressively hot and humid day that we have to deal with until the middle of next week! We'll reach a high of 91 by about 2 p.m. with heat indices ~100 before afternoon T-storms begin to pop and bring temperatures back down to the 80s by the late afternoon.
Most storms should remain below severe limits today, however for the 5 p.m. drive gusty winds and torrential rain will be a possibility underneath some of these storms. We'll keep thunderstorms around through the evening.
Once this cold front clears the area by the pre-dawn hours on Saturday, we're looking ahead to a GORGEOUS weekend. We'll see highs in the low to mid 80s with sunny skies and low humidity on Saturday and Sunday. Today is opening day for the Indiana State Fair, and you'll be dodging PM storms if you plan on going today, but it will be gorgeous at the fair this weekend.
More heat and humidity build back in for next week with storm chances returning on Wednesday/Thursday.
