Greenfield sex offender to serve jail time after playing Pokemon Go with boy at courthouse
GREENFIELD, Ind.– A registered sex offender who was arrested on July 13 for playing Pokémon Go with a boy outside the Hancock County Courthouse was ordered to spend time in jail Thursday.
A probation officer spotted Randy Zuick, 42, playing the popular mobile game with a 16-year-old boy at the courthouse, which is one of the several sites in Greenfield that draws players in.
Zuick’s actions violated the terms of a plea agreement in a child molestation case. He pleaded guilty to a Level 4 felony charge of child molesting for fondling a child under 14 and was ordered to three months of sex-offender probation, which prohibits him from interacting with children and accessing the internet, court records say.
Thursday, a judge ordered Zuick to serve the remainder of his three-year sentence in jail.
