Hendricks County authorities locate missing 8-year-old boy

Update (11:07 p.m.)– Police confirm the boy was found safe.

CLAYTON, Ind.– Authorities in Hendricks County are searching for a missing child.

The boy, 8, followed his dog into a cornfield has not come out yet. Police were called to the 300 block of West 975 South just after 9 p.m.

The Liberty Fire Department is in charge of the search, and Hendricks County deputies are assisting.

Anyone with information should call 911.
