Dangerous heat arrives today and sticks around through Sunday
Heat Advisories are POSTED for Central Indiana. Dangerous heat arrives TODAY and grips our area through the weekend. This is what it will FEEL LIKE each afternoon by 3pm. Sunday will actually be the hottest day, and it is likely that these advisories will be either extended into Sunday OR upgraded to Excessive Heat Warnings. Stay tuned!
Stay hydrated, wear light colored and loose clothing today and this weekend. We’ll see a high of 93 today with a 20% of an isolated storm after 3pm. Any storms that do fire up will die down by sunset. Not everyone will get wet, storms will be sparse.
Dave Matthews comes to Klipsch tonight and Saturday. Temperatures will be in the 90s in Noblesville, but we’ll be dry each evening for the concert.
For those headed out to IMS for qualifying and the Brickyard 400 on Sunday will really need to be careful. Heat indices will be close to 110 Saturday and Sunday afternoons by 3pm. We have a 50% for spotty T-showers on Saturday, but we’ll still see a lot of dry time. On Sunday, there is a 30% chance for a T-shower after 3pm. We will be dry for the Kid Rock concert on Saturday night.
Overall it is a good weekend for the pool! Relief from this oppressive heat and humidity arrives next Tuesday/Wednesday.
