A heat advisory for Friday and Saturday

This is, on the average, the hottest time of the year for central Indiana and right on cue, here comes our heatwave.  A long string of 90-degree days will begin Thursday and last through Tuesday. It won't be just the heat but also the humidity will be a factor.  A heat advisory has been issued for the region for Friday and Saturday. Expect a heat index over 100 each day through race weekend.


So far central Indiana has had nine, 90-degree days this summer.


Heat advisories are in effect for 19 states across the central US.


We have a heat advisory for central Indiana for Friday and Saturday.

The heat index will rise to or above 100 degrees for each of the next four days.


We'll have a slight chance for an isolated t-storm Thursday.


Scattered t-storms are possible Friday.
