Police investigate after 4 men shot on east side early Tuesday morning

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after four men were shot on the east side early Tuesday morning.

Officers were first called to the 1400 block of Wallace Avenue around 3:40 a.m. on reports of a person shot.

When they arrived on scene, officers say they found three men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police, all victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Aggravated Assault detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting but have not released any suspect information.

A short time later, police responded to a call about another person shot in the 4000 block of East 12th Street.

Officers say a man was shot in the face and was transported to Eskenazi hospital.

Investigators are trying to determine if these two shootings are connected, but have not released any details yet.
