Morgan County authorities take inmate who walked away from jail work release back into custody

Update (July 20, 2016)– Morgan County Sheriff Robert Downey said Wednesday that James Roy Baker is back in custody.

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. – The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department is looking for an inmate who walked away from a work release program.

The Sheriff’s Department says 31-year-old James Baker walked away from a Morgan County jail detail.

The suspect was charged with a probation violation and was on work release.

According to police, Baker is 5’11”, weighs 185 pounds and was wearing a green hat, blue shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information about Baker’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department’s non-emergency line.
