From record rainfall to a major heatwave

Our week got off to a wet start with a new rainfall record on Monday. More rain is coming later this week when we'll have a daily chance for t-storms, along with a streak of 90-degree days.  Warning and advisories for excessive heat are in effect for sixteen states across the Midwest on Tuesday. The combination of heat and humidity will give us heat index values near 100 degrees late this week and through the weekend.

Monday was a very wet day across the state.

Indianapolis broke a 20-year old daily rainfall record.

So far this summer we've had nine, 90-degree days.

HEAT ADVISORY4

Warning and advisories for excessive heat are in effect for sixteen states across the Midwest on Tuesday.
