We keep T-shower chances today, but the severe threat goes down

He had a very active night of weather last night! Severe storms produced dozens of hail and wind damage reports.  Here is a couple of spots that were hit particularly hard across the state.


The good news is that the severe weather threat is way DOWN today. Indiana is no longer in a SLIGHT risk.

We are tracking a cold front that will cross the state today.  This front will generate a couple of afternoon showers and storms that should stay below severe limits.  The best chance to get wet will be south of Indy. Here is our Futureview around 4pm today–showing most of the T-showers SE of Indy.

Rain totals will not be impressive today, but we’ll see slightly more south of the city.

The weekend forecast is looking great! It will be a lot more comfortable with lower humidity and seasonal temperatures.  Saturday will feature more sunshine before more clouds and heat build in for Sunday.  By the late afternoon on Sunday we’ll see a 20% chance for an isolated shower or storm, with a better chance for storms next Monday and Tuesday.
