It will be hazy, hot and humid today. Temperatures will top out in the upper 80s with heat indices in the 90s.
Storms will start developing by lunch time with the coverage increasing as the afternoon wears on and extend through tonight. Here is our Futureview model. Storms with damaging wind gusts will be possible for the evening commute.
Most of central Indiana is in a SLIGHT risk for severe storms today...with damaging winds being our primary threat. We will keep T-storms in the forecast through the overnight hours...with them tapering off for the pre-dawn hours on Thursday.
A cold front will cross the area on Thursday which will keep a few T-showers in the forecast, but the severe threat is much lower. We'll see relief from the heat and humidity for Friday and the weekend. More storms and humidity build in for the start of next week.
