Purdue University senior killed in car crash in Alabama

MADISON, AL – A senior at Purdue University was killed in a car crash in Alabama on Sunday.

According to police, Breanna Lemler, 21, of Bourbon, Indiana, was traveling westbound on I-565 in Madison County, Alabama when she drove off the road and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lemler’s cause of death is blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was ruled accidental.

Lemler was living in Decatur, Alabama, and she was working as an intern at a local company.

A spokesperson with Purdue says Lemler was a senior in the College of Agriculture majoring in agricultural economics.
