Car crashes into Subway shop on northeast side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Workers at an Indianapolis area Subway shop had a mess to clean up Monday morning after a car crashed into the store.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. Monday at the Subway located at 7403 Shadeland Ave. on the northeast side of Indianapolis, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan police.

According to investigators at the scene, the driver tried to put the car into park, but the car would not engage for some reason. The car then crashed through the building.

The business sustained significant damage. One employee was inside the Subway when it happened, but there were no customers in the store at the time.

No one was hurt during the incident.
