Flames shoot from building during large fire at Logansport business

LOGANSPORT, Ind. – Several different fire departments were involved in the effort to douse a large fire at a Logansport business Friday morning.

The fire at the Closson Lumber building started around 4:30 a.m. Friday. The company opened in 1898; the building houses antiques and a second-hand store, according to the Pharos-Tribune.

Several departments were called to the scene, including the Logansport Fire Department, Monticello Fire Department and Peru Fire Department.

Flames were seen shooting from the building, and the fire quickly got out of control. The cause remains under investigation, investigators said.
