A few t-storms before relief arrives for the weekend

Scattered t-storms will develop Friday afternoon and weaken as they move east. The risk for severe storms has diminished but 30-40mph wind gusts will be possible. An approaching cold front will cause the storms. Behind the front we’ll enjoy a cooler, less humid weekend. The heat and humidity will come back next week with highs near 90 by Tuesday.
