SHELBYVILLE, Ind.- Since 2009, Lynn Myers has ridden her motorcycle all over the country. In fact, she will have soon traveled by motorcycle through every state except Hawaii. In some ways, she says her 2009 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe is like another family member.

“Last year I did Route 66 so I did all the southwest states," said Myers, "this year I was going to pick up all the east coast.”

Each summer, the chemistry teacher from Iowa spends a few weeks by herself on the open road exploring the country. But her trip came to a screeching halt on Tuesday night, when someone stole her bike from the parking lot of a Shelbyville Quality Inn where she was staying the night.

"I'm kind of grieving right now," said Myers, "I know people say, 'Oh it's just a bike,' but it meant more than that to me.”

Surveillance cameras captured a man hopping on the bike and driving it out of the parking lot around 9:30 p.m. Inside, a woman was spotted on camera and police think she may be connected to the theft. Shelbyville authorities are looking to identify her.

If you have any information on the stolen motorcycle, you're asked to call the Shelbyville Police Department.
