Woman dies in crash on I-74 in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Ind.– A woman was killed Monday in a crash on I-74 near Jamestown.

Police responded to the crash just before 4:30 p.m., about a half mile east of exit 52 on eastbound I-74.

A 2007 Ford Edge driven by Myah Smith struck a semi tractor trailer operated by Jack Waterhouse. The semi had stopped on the shoulder of the interstate and Smith’s car struck the rear end of it.

Smith was extricated and pronounced dead at the scene. Waterhouse was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation
