Rain moves in for the 4th of July weekend
Morning showers will give way to afternoon sunshine today. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, comfortable humidity levels through this afternoon with highs near 80.
Saturday will be the pick day of the holiday weekend because it will be entirely dry. Rain chances have gone UP for Sunday. T-showers will move in during the morning. Rain and storms will be heaviest along I-70 and south on Sunday and Monday, however areas north will also see rain. Models are bringing heavier rain in on Sunday now and tapering it off on the 4th from north to south.
Looking ahead to the 4th of July, rain and storms will be heaviest during the morning and become more scattered and taper off to the south as the day wears on. It is looking that the fireworks displays downtown may get their displays in dry now on Monday night.
Between Sunday and Monday a couple of inches or rain will be possible SOUTH of Indy. There will be a sharp cut off with lesser amounts of rain north of Indy.
The heat and humidity makes a come back for the middle of next week!
