Three suspects arrested in connection with fatal shooting of 70-year-old man
UPDATE (June 28, 2018) — A jury found Corey Spurlock not guilty in the case. Kameron Martin’s trial ended in a hung jury. He will be retried, with a pretrial date set for July 9, 2018.
UPDATE (November 30, 2017): Anthony Breazil pleaded guilty to robbery and his other charges were dismissed. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison with a 535-day jail credit.
UPDATE (November 15, 2017): The trial for Kameron Martin, Corey Spurlock, and Anthony Breazil ended in a mistrial. A new trial date will be set during a hearing in November.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Police arrested three men in connection with a fatal shooting in March.
The shooting took place on March 12 around 2 a.m. at the Allied Liquor located at 5203 East 38th Street. The owner of the store, 70-year-old Joe Klein, was killed.
Tuesday, police arrested Kameron Martin, 27, and Corey Spurlock, 21, and Anthony Breazil, 27.
Martin faces charges of murder, felony murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. Spurlock was arrested on felony murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. Breazil faces charges of felony murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and carrying a handgun without a license.
