Single engine plane crash leaves two dead in Parke County

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – Two people were killed after a single engine plane crashed in Parke County Monday.

The plane crashed near Butler Airfield around 10 a.m., according to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say the two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. They have not been identified yet.

Autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
