Heat and humidity continues, but storms arrive Tuesday-Wednesday
The heat and humidity continues for the first half of the week. We’ll see highs near 90s this afternoon, with full sunshine and not much help from a very light breeze. Heat indices will be in the low-mid 90s by 3pm this afternoon.
Thunderstorm chances will go up Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday T-showers will be more scattered, and some could be strong during the afternoon. Here is our Futureview model showing rain at 3pm Tuesday.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, a cold front will swing through. This will provide for some relief from the heat and humidity for the second half of the week, but all of Indiana is included in a SLIGHT risk for severe storms on Wednesday.
A return to near seasonal highs will take place by Friday and we’ll stay dry, comfortable and sunny through the weekend.
