The oppressive heat and humidity has arrived

Today and tomorrow is a "Knozone Action Day".  This is an Air Quality Alert for Indy, Bloomington and surrounding counties.  It is best to limit outdoor strenuous activity during the heat of the day between noon and 4pm.

Here are a few other tips for staying safe in the heat.


Heat indices will near 100 degrees by 3pm Saturday afternoon, but it will be oppressive for the next four days.


Today we'll top out at 89 degrees with hazy sunshine and very humid conditions.

This weekend we'll have a 20% for a T-shower north of Indy by the late afternoon on Saturday. That line of storms will move south Saturday evening and the rest of Central Indiana prior to sunrise on Sunday. We'll be dry, hot and humid on Sunday afternoon.


Storm chances increase even more next week with some relief from the oppressive heat and humidity.
