Semi crash near Putnam County sends driver and three children to hospital

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — An early morning semi accident along Interstate 70 near Putnam County sent four people to the hospital.

Indiana State Police report that the semi accident occurred just before 4 a.m. along west bound I-70 just west of State Road 243.

Police say the semi left the roadway for an unknown reason and overturned in the grassy area on the far right side of the interstate.

The driver of the semi and three children, who were in the cab,  all sustained injuries and were transported to a Putnam County hospital.

Police are continuing their investigation of this incident.
