Police in Bloomington investigate infant’s death
Update (June 2, 2016): The baby’s father has been arrested in connection with her death.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Police in Bloomington are investigating the death of a 2-month-old girl.
The infant was found unresponsive by her 33-year-old father on Sunday afternoon on the city’s west side, according to Bloomington police. The infant was taken to IU health Bloomington Hospital, and she later died at the hospital.
According to Bloomington Police Captain Steve Kellams, the cause and the manner of death in this case has not yet been determined. Police say an autopsy will be performed today in Terre Haute.
The Department of Child Services and the Marion County Coroner’s office are assisting with the death investigation.
