Police arrest Bloomington man for child solicitation
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– Police arrested a Bloomington man for allegedly soliciting a 14-year-old girl for oral sex and sexual intercourse.
Court documents show the investigation started after 21-year-old David Coletto’s ex-girlfriend told police he was speaking to a 14-year-old girl on Instagram about having sex.
Coletto had reportedly broken his phone and had used hers for a while, which is how she saw the messages.
The conversation started sometime between May 16-20. According to court documents Coletto said he had years of experience and thought it was “cute” that the 14-year-old girl was new to sex.
“Coletto appeared to be coaching (the girl) and acting as if he would show her the right way to have sex,” the probable cause affidavit reads. They also discussed oral sex.
He reportedly told the girl several times to delete the messages because he knew she was 14 and knew he could face jail time. Eventually, the conversation moves to planning a potential meeting.
Police located the teen after seeing the messages and met with her and her parents. The officers then went to Coletto’s apartment and he agreed to an interview at the Bloomington Police Department.
Court documents show he told police he had made a mistake and knew what he did was wrong.
Police arrested Coletto on a charge of child solicitation and trasported him to the Monroe County Jail.
