HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – Police say an Avon man shot his wife’s ex-husband after he showed up at their home and threatened him with nunchucks.

Investigators were called to the home in the 2000 block of North State Road 267 around 8 p.m. on a report of a shooting.

The shooting victim was identified as Anthony Casada, 56, of Indianapolis, and he was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition after being shot on the back porch.

According to investigators and witness statements, Casada drove to his ex-wife’s home Tuesday night, and he threatened her husband, David Grefory, 50, of Avon with a pair of nunchucks.

Gregory then shot Casada multiple times to allegedly stop Casada from attacking him and his wife.

Gregory is not being charged criminally regarding the incident. Investigators are still working to see if Casada will face any criminal charges from the incident.
