Shooting victim found on I-70 interchange

INDIANAPOLIS,Ind.  (May 21, 2016)–Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating a shooting that ended on the interstate.

Around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, police received reports of shots fired on the interstate.  When officers arrived on scene, they found a car on the ramp from I-70 Westbound to I-465 Southbound.

Inside the car were two people.  IMPD said the passenger was shot twice in the back. He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in serious but stable condition. The driver of the car was also transported to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated for cuts suffered as a result of glass.

Investigators believe the shooting happened in the 3000 block of Acoma Drive.

At this time, there’s no suspect information.
