Dead body found on city’s north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police are investigating after they say a body was found on the north side early Thursday morning.

Authorities were dispatched to the 3900 block of North College Avenue after they received a call about a person down shortly before 1 a.m.

When they arrived on scene, officers they found an unresponsive male, approximately 30-years-old, on the sidewalk near the intersection of 40th Street and North College Avenue. Medics pronounced the man dead on scene.

According to police, there is trauma to the victim’s body and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
