Muggles have tried to play Quidditch on land before, but the sport is really best played in the air.
Some skydivers in Colombia mounted broomsticks after they jumped out of an airplane, giving it their best to emulate the sport made famous in the Harry Potter books and movies.
Two held a hoop while the others tried to get the ball and score. All in all, it’s a pretty impressive effort.
Quidditch is kind of the soccer (or, if you prefer, “football”) of the Harry Potter universe. The matches involve two teams of seven players who fly on broomsticks. The game has been popular enough to spawn the International Quidditch Association, which boasts 300 teams in 20 countries. The group has adapted the rules of the sport, although players run instead of fly (obviously).
