ORIGINAL STORY:

LAWRENCE, Ind. — A suspect wanted on a robbery warrant was arrested Thursday morning after trying to flee from officers.

Lawrence police officers and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents were serving the warrant in the 5300 block of Jonathan Trace Drive around 10:45 a.m.

Tristan Davis, 20, was wanted on a Marion County warrant for armed robbery and carrying a handgun without a license.  Police say Davis tried to flee as they arrived in the area.

As officers approached Davis and identified themselves, Davis allegedly removed a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the officers. An ATF agent fired his handgun twice. No one was hit and the suspect submitted. He was taken into custody without any further incident.

In addition to the charges in the warrant, Davis now faces additional charges of carrying a handgun without a license, pointing a firearm and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

An officer fired his weapon twice, but no one was hit. The suspect was taken into custody.
