Morning showers give way to clearing and strong north winds

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Good Thursday afternoon! We had showers this morning and this afternoon expect some breaks in the clouds.  Strong northwest winds are making it feel like the mid-30s. A few spotty showers are possible, mainly south and east of Indianapolis this afternoon.

Highs today will top out in the low to mid-60s but winds will be strong in the afternoon as a low pressure system departs the area. Look for north winds 15-20 mph gusting to 25 mph.

SKYCAST - Forecast Today

Friday will bring plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 70s as high pressure builds in. Highs will top out near 80 degrees on Saturday but a cold front will move through Saturday evening and showers and thunderstorms are likely. Some of those thunderstorms may be strong to severe Saturday evening so we'll keep you updated. Mother's Day will bring highs in the upper 60s with a chance of thunderstorms.
