Highs today will top out in the low to mid-60s but winds will be strong in the afternoon as a low pressure system departs the area. Look for north winds 15-20 mph gusting to 25 mph.
Friday will bring plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 70s as high pressure builds in. Highs will top out near 80 degrees on Saturday but a cold front will move through Saturday evening and showers and thunderstorms are likely. Some of those thunderstorms may be strong to severe Saturday evening so we'll keep you updated. Mother's Day will bring highs in the upper 60s with a chance of thunderstorms.
A warm up will return to the 70s and 80s next week. --Danielle Dozier
