INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Hoosier voters encountered a few problems Tuesday morning when they turned out for Election Day.

Rush County reported technical issues in at least two precincts. According to the clerk's office, the issue was still being sorted out and poll workers were doing their best to accommodate voters. A connectivity issue caused some delays in Hancock County. About half of voting sites in the county were affected, delaying the opening of poll locations by about 45 minutes.

Officials in Hancock County later said some ballots may have not included the County Commissioner race due to a software error. The Hancock County Election Board has contacted state officials to inform them of the possible issue, which affected the Ninestar Vote Center location.

In Marion County, the polling place on West Michigan opened late because a poll worker had "childcare issues." The location was up and running normally later than expected, officials said. Hamilton County ended up with some extra machines at a couple of polling places. Officials there said there was nothing out of the ordinary other than an "unplugged power cord here and there."

Johnson County reported only minor equipment glitches and said it was nothing that's causing delays. Boone, Madison and Shelby counties reported few problems. Morgan County said equipment was working fine and reported a few issues related to "user error."
