INDIANAPOLIS – Severe weather Sunday night brought tornado warnings, hail and flash flooding to central Indiana.

According to the National Weather Service, there were numerous reports of a wall cloud from southern Putnam County through Hendricks and Morgan counties. And while there were reports of a tornado near Indianapolis International Airport, the NWS said there was no confirmation of a tornado.

The airport did have a gust of 70 mph Sunday night. The storm was primarily a large hail/flooding event with rotating storms. An NWS survey team may go to Darlington/Linden to confirm reports of a tornado in the area.
