INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --Ted Cruz officially announced Carly Fiorina as his vice presidential running mate at a rally in downtown Indy on Wednesday.
"After a great deal of consideration and prayer, I have come to the conclusion that if I am nominated to be president of the United States that I will run on a ticket with my vice presidential nominee Carly Fiorina," Cruz said during the event at Pan Am Plaza.
Fiorina joined Cruz on stage, and campaign staffers handed out Cruz Fiorina 2016 posters to the crowd.
Fiorina talked about how she's grown closer to Cruz and his family and said she's grown particular fond of his two daughters. Fiorina even sang a song to the crowd that she apparently sings to his girls. “I know two girls that I just adore. I am so happy I get to see them more," sang Firoina.
