Police: Person cut with knife during robbery near Purdue’s campus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (April 20, 2016) – The West Lafayette Police Department is investigating after an armed robbery was reported early Wednesday morning.

Police say a robbery with a knife was reported near the intersection of West Wood Street and Pierce Street shortly before 2:30 a.m.

According to officers, the victim was cut with the knife during the robbery. Police say the suspect was a white man with a full beard wearing a salty dog shirt and Khaki shorts.

Police have asked residents to avoid the area while they investigate this incident.
