Police: 19-year-old Indiana man had child pornography on laptop computer
COLUMBUS, Ind. (April 20, 2016) – Columbus police arrested a Batesville man on child pornography charges this week.
According to the Columbus Police Department, detectives received a tip about possible illicit images on a laptop computer belonging to Joseph Freyer, 19. Police allegedly observed child pornography on the computer Monday night.
Officers took him into custody in the 2300 block of Poshard Drive while they were in the process of obtaining a search warrant. Investigators later searched his apartment.
Freyer was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of child pornography/child exploitation.
