INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 20, 2016)- The 10th annual Operation Hire a Hoosier Vet Job Fair is Wednesday, April 20 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Organizers are calling the job fair “Indiana’s largest career event.”
400-500 Hoosier veterans and current service members are expected to attend the job fair.
Close to 200 employers will be on-site as well.
All of the companies in attendance must have at least one open position that they’re currently trying to fill.
Employers at the job fair will be recruiting for a wide-variety of positions across different industries.
Organizers are urging unemployed veterans in central Indiana to take advantage of this opportunity.
“They have employers here that know the value of veterans and what they can bring to the organization, so they should come out. Nothing ventured, nothing gained,” said Roger Peterman, one of the lead organizers for the Operation Hire a Hoosier Job Fair.
The Operation Hire a Hoosier Job Fair runs from 10 am-3 pm inside the Agriculture and Horticulture building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
It’s open to all veterans, current service members, and their families.
On-site registration the day of the event is available.
