HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (April 20, 2016) – Lindsey Schuler, 18, is a senior at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers.

Recently, she suffered a devastating cheerleading accident that left her unable to move from the waist down.

But she’s making progress toward recovery every day. She took her first steps last week with a walker at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), where she’s staying as an inpatient. And last weekend, she was able to leave RIC to go to her high school prom. To top it off, she was even crowned prom queen!

Schuler is back at RIC as she continues to recover.
