AVON, Ind. (April 16, 2016) – Around 2,700 Avon High School students and staff members came together to create a lip dub video to spread the word about the importance of prenatal care.
The students say the video encompasses 60 different clubs and took 10 weeks to plan.
The students made a similar video last year that went viral.
This year, students want people to know that babies born to underprivileged women who receive low quality prenatal care are three times more likely to be underweight and five times more likely to die. The students say they plan to do something about this issue.
The high school’s student government will host Avon Night Light Glow 5K Run/Walk and Community Fair to benefit Hendricks Regional Health Prenatal and Pediatric Care on Saturday April 30.
