After public outcry, AMC will not allowing texting in theaters

NEW YORK (April 15, 2016) – The people have spoken: AMC Theatres will not allowing texting at their theaters.

Adam Aron, the new chief executive of AMC Entertainment, announced yesterday that the company was considering allowing audiences to text during movies, but the idea sparked outrage.

After the feedback, AMC made it very clear on Friday that they will not be allowing texting in theaters after all.

AMC Theatres tweeted the following announcement Friday morning.
