Man in critical condition following east side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (April 14, 2016) - Police say a man is in the hospital in critical condition this morning after a shooting at an east side Rally’s.

Police say they responded to a call from a passerby about a person down in the 6900 block of Pendleton Pike shortly before 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

When they arrived on scene, officers say they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the parking lot of a Rally’s restaurant near the intersection of East 38th Street and Pendleton Pike.

According to police, the victim was transported to Eskenazi in critical condition.

Police say they found shell casings in the area, and are planning to review surveillance footage from surrounding businesses as part of their investigation.
