GARY, Ind. (April 12, 2016)– Police in Gary say a 15-month-old boy was taken from his foster home at gunpoint. A statewide Amber Alert was declared before police found the child Tuesday night.

Details about where the boy was found and if his parents were involved have not been released.

Timothy Jackson Jr. was taken around 11:20 p.m. Monday from a foster home in the 2200 block of Waite Street. Two male suspects were involved in the abduction. They covered their faces and police say at this time their identities are not known. The suspects were armed with sawed-off shotguns.

Gary police said the boy may have been in the company of his parents, Rosalinda Tecaxco, 15, and Timothy Jackson Sr., 17. Both parents were reported as runaways and there was a concern for the child’s safety.
