Showers and thunderstorms move in today then falling temperatures and snow by Friday

Temperatures will be slightly above average today, however it will still feel "cool" because we'll see winds gusting up to 45 mph by the afternoon. You'll need the umbrella and windbreaker today with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.

Rain will become more widespread this afternoon. No severe weather is expected today, but we will have gusty winds and some heavy downpours in time for the evening commute.

Temperatures will trend downward over the next four days.  By Thursday afternoon and Friday morning we could see a few snowflakes mixing in. No accumulation is expected.  This weekend, we'll see two more hard freezes with morning lows in the mid-20s. More rain and thunderstorms move in for early next week.
