INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 5, 2016)--Good Tuesday afternoon! It was a nice day today with plenty of sunshine this afternoon after morning clouds. Temperatures climbed to the upper 40s this afternoon after a cold start in the mid-20s.

Tonight expect lows near 40 degrees. Clouds will build in in advance of our next weather system and we'll have a slight chance of rain and thunder tonight. Winds will also increase tonight with gusts to 30 mph overnight. The best chance of widespread rain and thunderstorms will come Wednesday late morning out west and early afternoon in Indianapolis. Rainfall amounts of 0.50 to 1 inch are possible through Thursday afternoon. Winds will be strong outside of thunderstorms and gust as high as 45 mph. Highs will be near 60 degrees before the rain arrives on Wednesday.

Showers are likely Thursday with snow possibly mixed in late in the evening. It will also be turning colder once again through the end of the week. --Danielle Dozier
