Malfunctioning escalator causes pile up following hockey game

PHILADELPHIA (April 4, 2016) – A malfunctioning escalator caused fans to fall on top of each other while trying to leave a hockey game.

According to Meghan McGreevy, the escalator started moving abnormally fast following a Philadelphia Flyers game at Wells Fargo Arena on Saturday.

The malfunctioning escalator caused the fans to pile up on top of each other and fall over the railing. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries and the escalator has been fixed.
