Kokomo police badge found in home of man accused of killing Deputy Koontz
HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. (March 31, 2016) – Indiana State Police are trying to determine why an alleged cop-killer had a police badge in his home.
Indiana State Police say they found a Kokomo police badge in Evan Dorsey’s trailer where Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz was shot and killed. Dorsey also took his own life after allegedly shooting Koontz.
Police aren’t saying where in the home they found the badge, and they say it is still part of an active investigation.
