Moped driver killed after collision with truck

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (March 26, 2016) — A moped driver was killed in Noblesville Friday night after police say a man pulled his car out in front of him.

The driver of the moped, Terry Schippers, 54, was pronounced dead after being transported to IU Saxony Hospital.

Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Greenfield Avenue and Watson Boulevard around 9 p.m.

Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate that the man drove his 2012 Dodge Charger pulled into the path of the moped on Greenfield.

Police say the driver of the charger, Darius Butler, 21, was not injured. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
