Driver ends up in pond after swerving to avoid rear-ending another vehicle

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 24, 2016) — A vehicle ended up in a pond Thursday afternoon after the driver swerved to avoid rear-ending another vehicle.

It happened in the northbound lane of Georgetown Road, just south of 71st Street.

The male driver busted a side window so he and a female passenger could escape before it was too late.

Crews tells us both the driver and a passenger were taken to hospital. One has serious injuries, the other’s injuries are minor.
