INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.  (March 232, 2016) –Downtown drivers may have noticed that getting by Bankers Life Field house on Delaware Street has been a bit difficult the last couple of weeks. That is because work has started on the new $50 million dollar Indiana Pacers medical and training facility just across the street from BLF.

The construction has blocked the two right lanes of Delaware and has also eliminated the one southbound lane of traffic from Maryland to South Street. There is also no street parking on Delaware from South Street to Maryland Street.

Police officials will continue to monitor the traffic flow on Delaware, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours in addition to the events and games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. They are encouraging drivers to seek alternate routes when traveling near BLF to help alleviate any traffic issues that might develop due to the construction which is expected to last until late 2017.
