TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (March 23, 2016) – Authorities found a large meth lab in a wooded area in Terre Haute Wednesday afternoon.

According to state police, the production site was near a popular public walking area called the Heritage Trail, near North Fruitridge Avenue and Beech Street. Officers say they were led there after receiving a tip from a family with children walking in the area.

Officers found and dismantled the lab that included all of the required chemicals, apparatus, and anhydrous ammonia to produce meth. However, officers say the lab was not producing meth at the time and no finished product was found.

We’re told no arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing.
